Marion Jones is feeling good and ready to run both 100m and 200m.

“When I come to Europe I want to run against the best of the world, so it doesn’t really matter if Zhanna Pintusevich is in the race. Of course she the World champion and she is still the World leader. It’s OK for me as I respond pretty well to competition. That’s why I think it’s going to be fast tomorrow. On 100m, but also on 200m where my target will be the World leading time of 22.21 run by Debbie Ferguson during the Commonwealth Games.”

Marion Jones confirmed that she‘s going to start long jumping again in the future.

“After the 2000’ Olympics I said I was leaving the discipline for two years. Now that’s over. In November I’ll start training again for the long jump and in Paris there are chances I’ll compete in that event too. My ambition is to be remembered as one of the best athletes in the world and therefore I still need to do some more, like running a world record and winning more gold medals in world championships and Olympic games.”

Brahim Boulami not in Brussels

Brahim Boulami will not participate in the 3.000m steeple of the 26th edition of the ‘Van Damme’. On 15th august – the day before he broke the world record in Zürich - he was tested by the IAAF and afterwards the Moroccan federation was informed that the ‘A sample’ tested positive.
Because of that his manager told the organizers that Boulami will not fly to Brussels.
